Adapina

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Adapina is a study aid for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) EMT-Basic cognitive exam. This policy describes what data Adapina collects, what it does not collect, and how subscriptions are handled.

Data Adapina Does Not Collect

Adapina does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email, address, phone number, exam history, or location. We do not collect contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or any biometric data.

Data Stored on Your Device Only

Your study progress lives only on your device, in local storage:

This data never leaves your device. Adapina has no server that stores or processes your study progress.

Subscriptions and Purchases

If you start a subscription (Adapina Pro Monthly or Adapina Pro 3-Month), the purchase is handled by Apple's App Store. Apple sends an anonymized purchase receipt to RevenueCat, our subscription analytics provider, so we can verify your subscription state, restore purchases, and resolve billing issues. The data RevenueCat receives includes:

RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, exam history, or any in-app activity. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

AI Disclosure

Adapina uses AI to draft initial question rationales and study explanations during development. All clinical content is reviewed against published medical sources (NREMT public test plan, NIH StatPearls, MedlinePlus, CDC clinical guidelines, Merck Manual Professional) before publication. At runtime, the Adapina app does not call any AI service. The CAT Simulator uses deterministic Item Response Theory math, not AI inference, to select questions and project readiness.

Not Medical Advice

Adapina is a study aid, not medical advice. The Readiness Verdict is a projection based on the user's answer pattern. It is not a guarantee of NREMT performance. Always verify clinical decisions against current institutional protocols and your EMS instructor.

Children's Privacy

Adapina is rated 12+ in the App Store and is intended for users 17 and older preparing for the NREMT EMT-Basic exam. Adapina does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Data Sharing and Sale

Adapina does not sell user data. We do not share user data with advertisers, brokers, or third parties beyond the subscription analytics described above.

Your Rights (CCPA / GDPR)

Because Adapina does not store personal information on a server, there is no account-tied data to access, port, or delete. If you delete the Adapina app from your device, all local study progress is erased. Apple manages your subscription independently of Adapina and can be canceled in your Apple ID Subscriptions settings.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be surfaced inside the app on next launch.
